Description
Creating a default firewall ruleset for the R7 VPN client on 5.2.x units generated corrupt service objects instead of a working default
ruleset. This issue was fixed.
The Message of the Day configuration erroneously accepted the pipe (’|’) character, resulting in wrong formatted output on the
clients. This issue was fixed.
High screen resolutions in combination with bigger system fonts caused Barracuda NG Admin to render certain dialogs in a way that
they became partially unreadable. This issue was fixed.
Entering a WiFi service set identifier (SSID) containing certain special characters could lead to a crash of Barracuda NG Admin.
This issue was fixed.
An issue in the configuration parser caused in rare cases unnecessary errorpop-up messages to appear in Barracuda NG Admin.
This issue was fixed.
When editing Application Detection settings within multiple firewall rules at once, it could under certain circumstances happen that
the configuration changes were erroneously discarded by the unit after they had been sent. This issue was fixed.
IPS database entries that had no architecture type set were not correctly displayed in the IPS database browser. This issue was

The refresh functionality in the log viewer was not fully functional. This issue was fixed.
Warning messages within Firewall > Protected IPs were erroneously almost unreadable. This issue was fixed.
Under certain circumstances it was possible to faultily enter IPv4 addresses so that they were internally mixed up with IPv6
addresses and vice versa. This issue was fixed.
Barracuda NG Admin had no network conectivity on Windows 8 consumer preview versions. Other versions of Windows were not
affected. This issue was fixed.
It was erroneously not possible to enter ’@’ or ’*’ characters into a NAPTR record for the DNS Service. This issue was fixed.
The password expiration warning was erroneously not displayed as long as Barracuda NG Admin was logged into a Barracuda NG
Firewall. This issue was fixed.
It was erroneously not possible to enter a dash for interface object names within Firewall Rules > Interface Groups > Interface.
This issue was fixed.
Advanced > Counting/Eventing/Audit Trail > Eventing Level for local rulesets did not work as intended. Therefore, the
parameter has been removed.
Specific configuration settings in firewall rulesets became corrupted after performing the following process: exporting a ruleset from
Barracuda NG Network Access Client, subsequently importing it into a NG Control Center, modifying the configuration parameters
Ask for unknown outgoing connections, Ask for unknown incoming connections and Ask for confirmation on adapter
update, subsequently re-exporting it from the NG Control Center, and finally re-importing it again into Barracuda NG Network
Access Client. This issue was fixed.
